If He Dissolve-then-there Is Nothing

Emily Dickinson

If He dissolve—then—there is nothingmoreEclipse—at Midnight—
It was darkbeforeSunset—at Easter—
Blindness—on the DawnFaint Star of Bethlehem—

Say—that the pulse just lisps—
The Chariots wait—

Say—that a little life—for His—
Is leakingredHis little Spaniel—tell Him!
Will He heed?
