Dewless : Having no dew.
Dew-point : The temperature at which dew begins to form. It varies with the humidity and temperature of the atmosphere.
Dewret : To ret or rot by the process called dewretting.
Dewretting : Dewrotting; the process of decomposing the gummy matter of flax and hemp and setting the fibrous part, by exposure on a sward to dew, rain, and sunshine.
Dewrot : To rot, as flax or hemp, by exposure to rain, dew, and sun. See Dewretting.
Dewworm : See Earthworm.
Dewy : Pertaining to dew; resembling, consisting of, or moist with, dew. ;; Falling gently and beneficently, like the dew. ;; Resembling a dew-covered surface; appearing as if covered with dew.
Dexter : Pertaining to, or situated on, the right hand; right, as opposed to sinister, or left. ;; On the right-hand side of a shield, i. e., towards the right hand of its wearer. To a spectator in front, as in a pictorial representation, this would be the left side. ;; One of a breed of small hardy cattle originating from the Kerry breed of Ireland, valuable both for beef and milk. They are usually chiefly black, sometimes red, and somewhat resemble a small shorthorn in build. Called also Dexter Kerry.
Dexterical : Dexterous.
Dexterity : Right-handedness. ;; Readiness and grace in physical activity; skill and ease in using the hands; expertness in manual acts; as, dexterity with the chisel. ;; Readiness in the use or control of the mental powers; quickness and skill in managing any complicated or difficult affair; adroitness.
